Workshop Format: 1 x A2A Strategic Alignment Workshop (3.5 hours)

Team Involved: Executive and Senior Leaders

The Situation

The client came into the session with a bold strategic agenda:
– Launch new products and services
– Improve team efficiency and operational performance
– Drive collaboration across departments
– Complete high-impact projects
– Secure new strategic partnerships

However, the team also shared several blockers that were slowing progress:
– Difficulty persuading stakeholders
– Misalignment between product ideas and customer satisfaction goals
– Ineffective cross-team collaboration
– Excessive workload and operational distraction
– Project delays due to unclear ownership
– Outdated technology is holding back innovation

What the Workshop Delivered

Using the A2A framework, the team worked through four key steps:

  • Clarified Strategic Goals
The team collectively reviewed and confirmed their top business priorities, ensuring shared understanding across all functions.
  • Identified Critical Blockers
Misalignment areas were surfaced, particularly around stakeholder engagement, cross-team delivery, and time available for strategic work.
  • Mapped Activities to Strategy
Each initiative, idea, or ongoing task was pressure-tested: Does this align with a strategic goal or eliminate a blocker? This helped eliminate noise and sharpen focus.
  • Prioritised Next Steps
The group co-designed a shortlist of high-impact actions to implement immediately, with clear links to strategic outcomes.

Key Outcomes

– Clearer alignment across leadership on what matters most
– Refocused effort away from legacy activities and toward initiatives that directly drive strategic outcomes
– Renewed commitment to improving cross-team collaboration and resource planning
– Identified mismatches between current activities and intended goals, particularly around product-market fit and workload barriers
– Created space to revisit stakeholder engagement strategies with a more intentional approach

From Reflection to Action

By the end of the session, the leadership team had a renewed sense of purpose and a shared map of how to move forward. Rather than feeling overwhelmed by competing priorities, they walked away with:

– A cohesive plan of action
– Clear alignment between goals, blockers, and strategies
– Practical steps to refine operations and prioritise resources
